248 and Going Strong!

I wrote this a few years ago on the Fourth of July and it's still just as true today, if not even more so.  I am blessed to live in the United States of America. It is still the richest and most powerful nation in the world. But more importantly I am allowed to worship as I please. I am able to express myself and to criticize our leaders as I see fit due to the Constitution and Bill of Rights of this great nation.

Today marks the 248th birthday of the United States of America. It is one of the longest lasting democracies in the world. This has been accomplished through the sacrifice of thousands of patriots going back to the Revolution against the British to today, with our troops deployed in Middle East hotspots. These brave men and women paid the ultimate price for our enduring freedom. I have no good way of sufficiently expressing my gratitude to them and to those who have served in conflicts such as World War I, World War II, Korea,  Vietnam and wars in the Middle East. Today I say thank you to all of our armed forces past and present. Because of you I am able to live in what I truly believe is the greatest nation on earth. Happy Birthday America!  248 years old and still going strong!

Happy 247th Birthday United States of America! Thank you to everyone who secured our liberty with their lives, blood, sweat and toil. May the USA always be free. God Bless America!

Happy Birthday United States of America

Happy Independence Day

Happy 232nd birthday to the greatest nation ever...the United States of America.  And more importantly, thank you to all of the brave troops stationed around the world defending the American way of life. I realize we're not the most beloved of countries, but why is that when some other nation gets in trouble or needs help, the US is always the first one it asks?  And the United States never says no to someone in need.

244 years old and going strong. God Bless America!!!

I am Blessed - Happy Birthday USA!

I originally posted this article three years ago and it is still as true today as it was then.  The nation may be even more divided with the media constantly criticizing Donald Trump and showing continued bias against this administration that was legally elected by the American public last November.  This nation has a lot of problems and maybe the media can focus on those problems and what our elected leaders are doing to try to solve them.  I pray this will happen soon.  In the interim I still am proud to live in the United States of America and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.  So, without additional delay, here is the article I wrote on Independence Day 2014.

This weekend marks the 240th birthday of the United States of America.  It is one of the longest running democracies in the history of the world.  This has been accomplished through the sacrifices of thousands going back to the Revolution against the British to today with our troops deployed in far outposts battling terrorist organizations.  Our citizen-soldiers have paid the ultimate price for our enduring freedom.  I have no way of expressing my gratitude to those who have served in conflicts such as World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam.  Today I say thank you to all of our armed forces past and present.  Because of you I am able to live in what I truly believe is the greatest nation on this planet!

Happy (Belated) Independence Day

This is like a lot of things I do...a day late and a dollar short.  But, here goes, Happy 237th Birthday to the United States of America.  Thank you to all of those who came before me and my generation.  Thank you to those who gave up their lives, blood, sweat and toil.  May God Bless the USA and may she always be free!  Happy Independence Day!

Post 4th of July Thoughts

It was a short work week and included the 4th of July holiday.  I am tardy in writing but thank you to the men and women who have served and sacrificed to make the United States what it is.   Thousands and thousands of Americans have given their lives so we may continue to live free in what I believe is still the greatest nation to ever exist.  So, belatedly, Happy 237th birthday United States of America!

Happy Birthday USA!

This is about a week late, but Happy 235th anniversary to the United States of America! May God bless her and may he bless the armed forces of this great nation. Here's a big thank you to the men and women of the military who keep this land free and allow me to put my head down at night and sleep soundly. This country has some extremely serious problems with which to deal, but there is no where else on this planet I would ever live. GOD Bless America!

Happy 4th of July

I hope as you read this you and your family are having a wonderful 4th of July.

Happy 234th birthday to the greatest nation ever...The United States of America. And more importantly thank you to all of the brave troops stationed around the world defending the American way of life. Does the United States have problems? Sure we do. But, I am confident we will resolve those issues and move on. I am thankful for the many opportunities the USA has afforded me over the years and the freedom to do what I want when I want. Thank you American and may God Bless the United States of America!
