I have officially retired from the rat race and working with selfish immature people. I wold have kept working but the age discrimination against older employees where I worked for 21 years was just too much to put up with. I told my manager several months ago I was retiring and was met with little more than..."good luck."
I am enjoying myself, my blood pressure is down and I am getting to watch the kids play sports after school for the first time in my life. Life is good and I don't miss the "PC" work place. And to make it official I received my first Social Security check yesterday.
Today has been a good day. I played 18 holes of golf this morning and am meeting friends for dinner. Life is good!
