Randolphisms

I have written in previous blogs that St. Louis is being subjected to an announcer by the name of Jay Randolph announcing St. Louis Cardinal baseball games on the local NBC affiliate on Sunday afternoons. The bottom line is this guy is terrible and has been for years. I had the birds game on this afternoon against the LA Angels and these were two "Randolphisms" that everyone should have heard.

- Randolph attempting to describe a defensive alignment used by the Angels against Albert Pujols..."There is a huge gap between the left fielder and right fielder". No Shit! It's called center field.

-In the fifth inning Chris Spezio fielded a hard hit ground ball and Randolph said..."what a great play by Spezio"! The only problem is Spezio fired the ball down the right field line and the runner ended up on third base.

I sure am glad this guy only works on Sunday afternoons and we don't have to listen to him the rest of the week!
