What a Game

If you didn't see it, the baseball game last night between the Padres and Rockies will go down as one of the best ever. The Rockies ended up coming from behind in the 13th inning and beating San Diego to advance to the National League playoffs.

It was back and forth and nip and tuck all night long in a game that was pressure packed to say the least. The San Diego crew went up over Colorado in the top of the 13th by a count of eight to six. With it's all star closer Trevor Hoffman coming on in relief it appeared as if the Pads were playoff bound. But, Colorado rallied in the bottom of the inning and pulled it out 9-8 with four extra base hits in a row off the previously untouchable Hoffman. Matt Holiday scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly. Some will say the umpire blew the call but no one from San Diego argued it. From the replay I could not tell if Holiday touched the plate or not but I have to believe the Padres would have been raising cain if they thought Holiday was out.

Wow, what a game!
